North Carolina’s state government revenues continue to exceed expectations. According to the new state budget Director Kristen Walker, revenues for the current fiscal year that began July 1 are 10% higher than expected, as reported by the Associated Press.

We're in the top ten in the nation -- in terms of unemployment. Of the 19 states STILL indebted to the federal government for repayment of emergency unemployment funds, North Carolina has the third highest debt behind only New York and California.
